Ashanti Douglas, also known as Ashanti was born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is an actor and singer who hails from in the United States. Ashanti was discovered as a teenager and eventually became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. In the same year, she made an appearance in fat Joe's What's Luv? song as well as Ja Rule's Always On Time track. Both of them became massive hits.
